手提电脑的能耗管理

买了这台Lenovo Thinkpad T61 快两年了，挺好，就是一直觉得发热太厉害，用久了很烫。可以想象，太热对零件的寿命会有不良影响，对可靠性也不利。心里一直嘀咕为什么花大钱买的贵电脑会这么热。前天突然发现把能耗管理调到随便一档的智能管理会凉快很多（我以前一直放在最高消耗最高速度一档）。现在好了，电脑底下垫个枕头也不会热了。要是你的电脑很热，不妨试试这招。

One can choose one's power scheme to suit the need. For two years, my laptop had been on "Maximum Performance".  And it had been way too hot because the OS ran the CPU the fastest it could all the time and did not attempt to manage.  Yet, one rarely needs all that performance.  So, the wiser thing to do is to switch to a managed scheme such as "Optimized" or "Energy Star" or "Maximum Battery Life".
