Eight Long Lines
The Pavilion of Yellow-Footed Crane
Cui Hao

Gone was the yellow-footed crane, his master atop,
Left behind a pavilion he once nestled.
Away he went and never seemed to have returned,
For a thousand years in the sky only the clouds afloat.

Trees upon trees bathing in the sun by the River Han,
Grass patches awash in the rain on the sandbank of Parrot.
The sun sets, but I know not one path to my home,
The wavy, smoky river, how you fill my chest with sorrow.

yellow-legged crane?

Here it is~~

《The Pavilion of Yellow-Footed Crane》

Gone with the yellow-footed bird, he left behind the empty Pavilion of Crane
The bird returning no more, only the aging clouds gathering year after year
Sun-bathed trees lining the HanYang road, wild grass covering the Parrot Bank
I lost my mind on the sunset road, longing for you by the roaring smoky river

Gone with the yellow-footed bird, he left behind the empty Pavilion of Crane
The bird returning no more, only the aging clouds were gathering year after year
Trees were scattering on HanYang Land, wild grass was covering the Parrot Bank
I felt lost in the sunset countryside, thinking of hometown by the smoky big river

He who is gone with the yellow bird, here left behind the empty Pavilion of Crane
The bird will be returning no more, only the white clouds afloat for thousands years
Sun-bathed trees standing by the HanYang road, wild grass whimpering over the Parrot Bank
I lost myself on the sunset road, drowning in sadness, in the waves of the smoky river

"Yellow bird"? Not quite right. Thinking about first time ski-schoolers?:)
