The following is an article from a newsletter I published for South OC Tea Lovers Club. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoy writing it.
Tea & Sustainability
Orange County never lacks of chic or fashion. When the newest car, the newest gadget, the newest handbag or even the newest plastic surgery comes out, you can always spot a few when you look around.
Now 21st century what everyone is talking about is sustainability. ‘Go Green” becomes such a cool slogan. Hey, after all, green is the new “pink”.
Even though I never consider myself a real “orange”, but I can’t help but follow the trend.
Actually all the tea is made from one plant called Camellia Sinensis leaves which originally grow naturally on mother earth. In China, after tea had been drinking, the leaves were buried in flower pots as natural compost.
Since I consumed so much leaves, I made a pillow with the dried tea leaves as stuffing last year. The dried leaves can also be put into small silk pouches and hung around as air refresher.
In my opinion, “Go Green” should be built into daily life and become a life style. Coco Channel once said, “Fashion fades, but style stays.”
