Allow me to share a father's joy. My son, 11-year old, wrote this piece for his school, and it was chosen to be sent to all the schoolmates and their parents.
All the pumpkins are gone,
And the leaves have fallen to the ground;
The air is getting windy and cold,
And something new is coming around.
I'ts more than eating a fancy dinner,
And getting a four-day vacation.
Families get to get together
And have a holiday celebration.
The kitchens have fragrant aromas;
Thoughts of loved ones come near;
There are decorations of pilgrims and turkeys;
Thanksgiving Day is finally here. |
