天信：It’s a Man’s World

“The rules of soccer are very simple, basically it is this: if it moves, kick it. If it doesn’t move, kick it until it does.”

每每看到一场精彩激烈的足球比赛，不知怎的，James Brown的那首老歌儿”It’s a Man’s World”总会跳入脑海。

我往往自称是骄傲的女权主义者，但这世上有两件事情我特喜欢是All Male Cast。一个是好莱坞三十年代到七十年代的老电影，我最喜欢的十部影片几乎都是男星璀璨；再一个就数男子足球了，我记得利物浦职业球队的大主管好像说过这么一句话儿，“Some people believe football is a matter of life and death. I’m very disappointed with that attitude.  I can assure you it is much, much more important than that.”

二零一八世界杯小组赛到目前为止精彩纷呈，很多球队不是踢输了，只是没有赢罢了。今天的三场赛事以最后押尾的德国对瑞典最为惊险，我想瑞典球员都会同意这句话儿:  Football is a simple game; 22 men chase a ball for 90 minutes and at the end (that extended 5 minutes), the Germans won。

世界杯只有一个，不论你踢得多么的漂亮，没赢就是输了，要记住: Second place is the First loser。

对了，我前面提到的那首歌儿，紧接着前两句重复的”It’s a Man’s World”是这么一句，”But it wouldn’t be nothing,  Nothing without a woman or girls”。
