上星期原本是想介绍一下Hem的歌，可是忆旧的盒子一经打开就合不上，结果那首《The Part Where You Let Go》反而成了那篇日志的注脚。
一个偶然的机会，我在NPR上听到了Hem的歌，一下子就喜欢上了。
Hem是纽约布鲁克林区的一个小乐队，成立于上世纪九十年代末，由歌作者Dan Messé发起组织，以演唱民歌风的自创歌曲出名。乐队刚成立时，几个发起者都不能唱歌也不认识任何能唱歌的人，就在一份街头小报上登了一份广告征求主唱歌手，结果接下来应征的阿狗阿猫让他们几个大倒胃口，他们甚至都准备放弃为乐队增加唱者的想法。几个月过后，一个自称并不是“歌手”的人接触了他们，随后寄来的一段该应征者为她朋友婴孩演唱的摇篮曲录音带让Dan Messé大为感动，从此，该应征者就成了Hem的主唱歌手，她就是Sally Ellyson。
Sally Ellyson的演唱风格是不疾不速款款道来，发音吐字还特别清楚，很悦耳。不过说到底还是歌写得好，今天我们来听这个乐队的《半亩地》（Half Acre）。整首歌萦绕着思乡的情绪，很能打动我们这些有点上了年纪的游子。
